Mix equal parts vinegar and water in a spray bottle and spray bathtub tiles, tub and curtains to prevent mould. This versatile, multi-use product can be used to clean floors, inside a garbage can, refrigerator and freezer.
Tip: Add lemon to create a citrus scented cleaning solution. Use vinegar spray to descale your tea kettle, coffee maker or coffee pod machine. Use the vinegar and water solution, and boil for a few minutes; rinse several times with hot water.

Here are tips on how to use baking soda for your home.

- Keep all household drains flowing and smelling fresh by running hot water down the drain before pouring in 1/2 cup baking soda, resting for 15 minutes before rinsing with hot water.

- Keep white surfaces white and clean: Sprinkle on a wet sponge before scrubbing to remove any residue or stains.

- Clean mucky ovens: Rub a paste of baking soda and water on bottom of oven; spray with vinegar and let it foam before repeating the spray until the muck slides off easily.

- Unclog drains: Sprinkle in 3 tbsp baking soda into the drain; pour in hot vinegar to allow baking soda to fizz and break up any clogging. Rinse with hot water.

- Laundry secret: Add 1/2 cup baking soda to stinky or stained laundry with your regular detergent to lift any odour and keep clothes bright and white.
